By going back to his early texts and covering the whole of his philosophical development up to his joint work with Félix Guattari and his last writings, the book shows how Deleuze formed his intellectual project in dialogue with Hegelian philosophy and never stopped talking to it. Rather than the stereotypical image of the great adversary of Hegelianism, what emerges is a more nuanced vision of a Deleuzian thought that attempted to accomplish the philosophical revolution that Hegel had initiated but had not managed to truly accomplish.
