Thinking of hospitality through its spatial dimension involves together three fundamental terms: space-other-relationship. It highlights the processes of investing spaces as the interface of the individual and the collective. From the hospital to the city, the relationship between institutions, citizens and the spaces associated with care is materialized. Hence, it enables the analysis of different levels of action and qualities of hospitality. Be it a resource or an impediment, space is considered as an active dimension and not simply as a context for/of the relationship of hospitality. The book focuses mainly on how to think spatially about the possibility of hospitality in acts and presences.
