The language practices of migrant workers in the cleaning sector reveal little-known issues, combining autonomy and limited interactions. Often oriented towards this profession because of its apparent verbal simplicity, this public nevertheless mobilizes an internalized language element essential to conceptualize action, manage unforeseen events and go beyond work instructions. This research carried out at the Joliot Curie high school in Oignies analyzes interactions in initial training, highlighting the importance of exchanges, simulations and hesitations as learning tools. This work enriches the teaching of French for specific purposes by promoting invisible but essential practices. They pave the way for discussions aimed at strengthening the professional autonomy of allophone learners and better supporting vocational trainers in the face of the varied needs of migrant workers.
