Judith Langendorff

Judith Langendorff holds a Ph.D. in Film and Audiovisual Studies from Sorbonne-Nouvelle University, where she has been a lecturer since 2016, a lecturer on film and photography, Judith Langendorff published *Le nocturne et l'émergence de la couleur : cinéma et photographie* (The Nocturne and the Emergence of Color: Film and Photography) with PU de Rennes in 2021—a revised version of her doctoral dissertation—and has contributed to several edited volumes (*Tableaux vivants-images en mouvement*, published by Garnier in 2020; *Que fait la couleur à la photographie?* (What Does Color Do to Photography?), published by Liénard in 2025; and *La nuit à la croisée des arts et des cultures* (Night at the Crossroads of Arts and Cultures), published by L'Harmattan in 2025). She contributes to the journals *La Furia Umana* and *Culturopoing*.

She also holds a master’s degree in art history from the École du Louvre and Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne University. She has worked as an art buyer specializing in photography for major communications groups.
